Alberta Jane Wilson

July 11, 1945 — June 2, 2023

On June 2nd, 2023 we unexpectedly lost another angel on earth: Alberta Jane Wilson (her formal name, although everyone knew her as "Jill", most-known as "Grandma Jill") was surrounded by the love of her family in her final moments. Jill was born July 11th, 1945 in New Brighton where she held many occupations...from working at the local meat processing plant, to many many years in management for retailers, to an optician in the vision center. Not every day was sunshine and roses, but she was persistent and knew every problem had a solution-- everything in life, she said, "can be figured out." Perhaps one of her most prized aspects of her life was having family so close and being involved in nearly every moment of her children's and their children's, and then THEIR children's lives. She was blessed to experience her 7 grandchildren growing up together, and then her 15 great-granchildren all growing up together. Her late husband Austin precedes her in death, as well as her mother Alice Hinzman, a baby sister Charlotte, and her youngest daughter Patricia Sayers. She is survived by her eldest daughter Christine Winkle (Frank), son-in-law Scott Sayers, seven grandchildren: Nicole Winkle (Michael), Brandy Long (Matthew), Samantha Winkle (John), Toni Winkle (Keith), Alexandria Jackson (Tyresse), Jessica Winkle, and Zachary Sayers (Brittany). Additionally, she is survived by her 15 loving great-grandchildren: Chloe, Nicholas, Parker, Jack, Dillan, Abby, Tyresse, Audrey, Jake, Pandora, Joycelynn, Liam, Greyson, Alonzo, and Naima. Jill is also survived by her niece and nephews, April, James, and Jack. Jill had a big heart and was beloved by so many. Take comfort in knowing that she is not in pain, and no longer has to battle cancer and chemo treatments. She will continue to guide us when we need her the most. You fought hard, your battle is done. In lieu of flowers, and in the hope that no other family has to endure the sadness that cancer brings, the family asks instead that memorial contributions be made in Jill's name to the American Cancer Society (cancer.org) or to Bags and Blessings (bagsandblessings.org). Arrangements were handled by the A.D. Campbell Funeral Home, Inc., 1326 8th Avenue, Beaver Falls, PA 15010 (724-846-1160). To share a memory or condolence, please visit www.campbellfuneralhomes.com
