Betty J. Shasteen, age 96, of New Galilee, died on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. She was born in Hazelton, PA on January 22, 1927 and is the daughter of the late Clarence and Alverta Klingerman Mummey.
She is survived by her children, William and Debby Shasteen of Darlington, PA; Linda Shasteen Snyder of Clayton, NC; Paul Joseph and Terry Shasteen of Sanford, NC; 6 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; sister, Emma Mae Pearce of Pittsburgh, PA; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her son, James Shasteen; and grandson, Christpher J. Snyder.
Arrangements were handled by Campbell’s Chippewa Funeral Home, Inc., 2618 Darlington Road, Chippewa Twp., PA 15010 (Randy R. Wheeler, supervisor, 724-843-2500).
