Carol Jean Coblentz

We are sad to announce the death of beloved mother and grandmother, Carol Jean Coblentz, on February 15, 2023. Carol was born June 5, 1942 in New Brighton, Pa, to the late Carl Chester and Dorothy (Coene) Tanner. Carol was a church organist/pianist for 63 years and enjoyed traveling, knitting and was an avid animal lover. Carol is survived by two sons, Robert (Teri) Gourley and Edward (Teresa) Gourley; two grandsons, Dylan and Peyton Gourley; two brothers, George (Shirley) Tanner and Edward Tanner; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Calvin Coblentz. Friends will be received Monday, February 20, 2023 from 12-2pm at Campbell's Chippewa Funeral Home, 2618 Darlington Road, Beaver Falls, Pa 15010. Private interment will follow at Little Beaver Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at the First Church of God, 605 9th Street, New Brighton, Pa 15066 on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at 4pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New Brighton First Church of God. The family would like to thank Good Samaritan Hospice (Wexford) for the wonderful care she received.
