Clarence H. Cyphert

Clarence H. Cyphert (Cy), age 96, of Chippewa Township, PA passed away peacefully Sunday, January 28, 2024.
Born in Pittsburgh PA on September 28, 1927, he was the son of the late Clarence Rudolph Cyphert and Olive Irene Cyphert. He was a veteran of the US Army in two separate enlistments, serving in both World War II and the Korean War.
In addition to being a faithful member of Redeemer Trinity Lutheran Church in Monaca, PA, Cy was a Master Mason with over 70 years as a member of the Ellwood-Parian Lodge No. 599 of Free and Accepted Masons.
Cy was a letter carrier for the Beaver Falls Post office for 22 years; prior to that he delivered milk for the Otto Milk Company. He was fortunate to have a long, healthy retirement and for many years enjoyed spending his time between his home in Chippewa and his winters in Florida.
He was a loving family man who loved spending time with his friends and family, which includes his wife and children as well as his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years Dolores Ann Cyphert, children Connie Irene (David) Erwin of Chippewa Township, PA and Jeffrey Harold (Jacqueline) Cyphert of Houston, TX, five grandchildren: Nicole (Matthew) Senkinc, Matthew (Christina) Smith, Beth (Thomas) Fortner, Allison (Mason) Powell, Kimberly Cyphert, and eleven great-grandchildren: Caden, Mattox, Striker, Wyatt, Nolan, Macyn, Kayleigh, Ava, Jack, Axten, and Brooks.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Dennis Harold Cyphert, daughter Cynthia Jean Cyphert (Smith) and siblings George Judson Cyphert and Dorothea Boring.
Family and friends will gather at Campbell’s Chippewa Funeral Home, Inc., 2618 Darlington Road, Chippewa Twp., PA 15010 (Randy R. Wheeler, supervisor, 724-843-2500) on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Angela Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Sylvania Hills Mausoleum.
