Dorothy Jane Snair, age 90, of Carlinville formerly of Beaver Falls, PA, passed away Saturday afternoon, December 3, 2016, at Pleasant Dale Place in rural Carlinville, IL. Dorothy was born September 20, 1926, in Beaver Falls, PA, a daughter of Clyde and Laura (Corrigan) Sandoe. Dorothy married Dawn F. Snair, February 1, 1943 in Beaver Falls, PA and he passed away February 18, 1979. She was a member of Memorial Christian Church Carlinville, IL since moving to Carlinville. Dorothy helped her country as a welder during World War II and enjoyed being a homemaker to her husband the three daughters. She enjoyed sewing, puzzles, cooking, and her grandchildren. Dorothy loved her candies and sweets. Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Dawn McGee of Elwood City, PA, Laura (Dale) Walker of Knoxville, TN, Nancy (Paul) Mihalek of Carlinville, IL, eight grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, sister, Jenny Peters of AZ and several nieces and nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson; Michael Dale Walker, great granddaughter; Jordan Emery, a sister, four brothers and son-in-law; Albert McGee. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2016, from Noon to 1:00 pm at Memorial Christian Church, Carlinville, IL where Funeral Services will be conducted, at the conclusion of visitation, at 1:00 pm with Rev. Gary Farthing officiating. Burial services will be held Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at 3:00PM in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester, PA. Memorials may be made to Carlinville Food Pantry.
