Emma Helen Evanson

d. July 6, 2025

Ellwood City

It is with heavy hearts and deep love that we share the passing of Emma Helen Evanson on Sunday, July 6, 2025 at the age of 89. A lifelong resident of Beaver County, she was the heart of her family and a light in her community — known for her kindness, faith, and gentle strength.

Emma lived her life guided by love, service, and unwavering belief. She found joy in the simple things — a hot cup of coffee, a full kitchen, and family close by. She was the kind of woman who made everyone feel welcome, and whose quiet strength touched more lives than she ever knew.

She was the beloved wife of the late Frank Evanson, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and devotion. She leaves behind her cherished son, Frank Stephen (Rhonda) Evanson of Evans City, PA, who was the center of her world, and her adoring grandchildren: Brinsley (Peter) Yaple of Adams Township, PA; Chad Evanson; Tyler Evanson; and Brody Evanson, all of Cranberry Township, PA; great-grandchildren, Paxton Yaple; and Cooper Yaple. Nothing made her heart fuller than watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow and thrive.

Emma was one of many siblings and treasured the bond she shared with her brothers and sisters — brothers, Anthony Nalesnik of Big Beaver, PA; and John Nalesnik of Darlington, PA; sisters, Mary Jane (Edward) Dwyer; Margaret Nalesnik; Genivive Nalesnik; and Nancy Nalesnik, all of Big Beaver, PA., In addition to her husband, Emma is preceded in death by her parents, Stephen and Emma Popp Nalesnik; brothers, Robert Nalesnik; and Stephen Nalesnik; sisters, Julia (Arthur) Dallenbaugh; and Betty Lou (Edward) Teapole.

A burial took place at Grandview Cemetery in Beaver Falls, PA. Arrangements were cared for by Campbell’s Chippewa Funeral Home, Inc., 2618 Darlington Road, Beaver Falls, PA 15010 (Randy R. Wheeler, supervisor, 724-843-2500).
