Keith Steffen

January 1, 1927 — June 20, 2020

J. Keith Steffen, 92, formerly of Beaver Falls and a resident of Myerstown, was called home on Saturday, June 20, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. Born on June 22, 1927 in New Brighton, PA, he was the son of the late John W. and Bessie R. (Keeler) Steffen. Keith was a Fireman for the City of Beaver Falls Fire Department for 28 years and an Associate Director for Campbell Funeral Homes until his retirement after 14 years of service. He was a 3rd generation member of Christ's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Beaver Falls for 68 years and served as a Sunday school teacher, a superintendent and on the council. He was also a state licensed Fire Instructor and a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran. Keith is survived by a son and daughter in law, Gary and Karen Steffen of Syracuse, NY, a daughter and son in law, Penny and Lee Anske of Myerstown PA; three grandchildren, Mark Steffen of Mebane, NC, Sarah and husband Tim Heron of Baldwinsville, NY, and Emma Bartolomei of Myerstown, PA; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Betty Steffen; three sisters, Lois Douglass, Marilyn Prawucki, and Carol Harris; and brother in law, Raymond Prawucki. Friends will be received Thursday, June 25, 2020 from 6-8 pm in A. D. Campbell Funeral Home, 14th Street and 8th Ave, Beaver Falls, Pa. Additional visitation will be in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1001 10th Avenue, New Brighton, Pa 15066 on Friday, June 26, 2020 from 11 AM until the time of service at 11:30 AM. Rev. Kim Rapczak will officiate. The Veteran's Honor Guard will be conducting full military honors at 12:45pm at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Daugherty Twp, prior to interment. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1001 10th Avenue, New Brighton, Pa 15066.
