Melvin Leroy Long, age 73, of Enon Valley, PA, died on Thursday, June 26, 2025. He was born in Beaver Falls, PA on January 28, 1952. He was the son of the late Thaddeus and Eva Murray Long and the husband of the late Cathi Long. Melvin proudly served in the United States Marine Corps at the end of the Vietnam War. He later retired as a supervisor for PA Pipe in Darlington. He was a member of Cannelton Baptist Church in Darlington, PA.
Melvin is survived by his son, Jason Long of Leetonia, OH; stepdaughter whom he helped raise, Michelle Dunlap of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Trinity Long; Major Long; Devin Long; Dylan Long; and Jordan Bolzan; siblings, Bill (Brenda) Long of East Palestine, OH; Ted (Debbie) Long of Casa Grande, AZ; Keith (Carol) Long of Enon Valley, PA; Ronnie (Janice) Long of West Aliquippa, PA; Larry (Anna) Long of Chester, WV; April Long of Eastville, PA; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, Mevin is preceded in death by his daughter, Valerie Long.
Family and friends are invited to gather to honor Melvin’s memory at Campbell’s Chippewa Funeral Home, Inc., 2618 Darlington Road, Beaver Falls, PA 15010 (Randy R. Wheeler, supervisor, 724-843-2500) on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Religious services officiated by Pastor Dale Regner will begin at 7:30 p.m. followed by military services.
