Robert Bruce Bates

Robert Bruce Bates, age 74, of Chippewa, PA, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 after a brief illness. He was under the care of Grane Hospice at Providence Care Center in Beaver Falls, PA. Bob was born on July 25, 1949 and was the son of the late Clarence and Mary (Watson) Bates. Bob worked at Republic Steel for 35 years. He enjoyed all sports, but especially golf.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Cynthia (Yingling) Bates; his son, Matthew (Shannon) Glover, and daughter, Katie Bates; his grandchildren Levi, Zoee, Sophia, and Alyvia. He is also survived by his brothers, Gary of North Carolina, and Richard (Phyllis) of South Carolina, and many family members and friends.
Special thanks to the staff of Grane Hospice and Providence Care Center for their kindness and compassion while Bob was in their care.
