Ruth Ann Beckman, age 88, of Patterson Township, PA, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at AHN Beaver Hospital – Heritage Valley, in Beaver, PA.
She was born in Eastvale, PA, on May 24, 1938, and was the daughter of the late Charles Wesley and Florence Edna Webster Thomas.
She lovingly served her family as a homemaker and faithfully served her church, Beaver Falls First Assembly of God. She enjoyed helping with church dinners, events, Women’s Ministry, nursing home visits, decorating the church foyer and sanctuary, teaching Sunday School, and serving on the church board. Ruth was always ready to serve.
She leaves behind her husband, John, whom she loved dearly. Ruth and John were married in 1955, and together raised three children, Deborah (Gary) Brooks of NC; David (Heather) Beckman of Beaver Falls, PA and the late Donna Sue Beckman Dodds Bailey, who died on May 10, 2024, in Ellwood City, PA. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren, Joan (Chris) Sprague of CA; Gary Robert (Amanda) Brooks of NC; Jennifer Dodds of PA; Ryan Brooks of PA; Michelle Beckman of PA: David (Rachel) Bailey of PA; Julie (Devon) Foley of PA; Mallory (David) Kalcevic of PA; seven great-grandchildren; a nephew; and five nieces.
In addition to her parents and daughter, Ruth was preceded in death by her brother, Charles “Ray” Thomas of San Antonio, TX, who died in 1992.
Family and friends are invited to honor Ruth’s memory at Campbell’s Chippewa Funeral Home, Inc., 2618 Darlington Road, Beaver Falls, PA 15010 (Randy R. Wheeler, supervisor, 724-843-2500) on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 3:30 p.m. The service will be officiated by Reverend Kimberly Small. A burial will take place at Beaver Falls Cemetery and Mausoleum.
