Stephen Francis Kislock

September 4, 1942 — February 26, 2023

Stephen F. Kislock III of Beaver Falls, Pa, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 26, 2023. He was born in Beaver Falls on September 4, 1942 to the late Steve and Helen Kislock. He was married to his beloved wife of 52 years, Caral Jean Kislock, who passed away in February of last year. Steve was a laborer for Westinghouse/Eaton Cutler Hammer for over 30 years. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged after his 4 years of service. He loved to tell stories to whoever would listen about his time in the service. A lifelong resident of Beaver Falls, he volunteered at the Beaver Falls Library for over 20 years. He got great joy in seeing the children’s faces light up when they checked out their books. Steve was on the Beaver Falls Civil Service Committee and had worked for the US Census. A very passionate, and some could say opinionated, man about what he cared about most. In his younger years, he enjoyed writing letters to the editor on a variety of topics to all the local newspapers. He wanted it known, “I had something to say and I said it,” which may have gotten him into trouble at times. He loved to blast his classical music and whistle just as loud as the music played. An avid animal lover, there were no local squirrels or birds that went hungry. He had a special love for dogs. He felt, “we are not worthy of their love” and they should be treated like family. He was a devoted, protective and loving husband and father. Family was very important to him and he said recently, “I have the best family and I want them to know that.” He will be missed by his daughter and son in law, Dawn and Randy Smilak; brothers, Gerald (Marlene) Kislock, William (Paula) Kislock, Tom Kislock; goddaughter and niece, Karen (Dave) Zito; several nieces and nephews; and two grandpuppies. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Kislock and sister, Patty Mangerie. There will be a visitation on Friday, March 3, 2023 from 6-8 pm at A.D. Campbell Funeral Home, 1326 8th Avenue, Beaver Falls, Pa 15010. The Veteran’s Honor Guard will begin at 7:45 pm and services will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Beaver County Humane Society or Beaver Falls Library.
