Thomas Kurt Fuchel, Sr.

Thomas Kurt Fuchel, Sr., age 74, of Beaver Falls, PA, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2026. He was born in Beaver Falls, PA on April 5, 1952 and was the son of the late Walter and Zona Gilkey Fuchel.

He is survived by Ellen Fleming Fuchel, the mother of his children; Siobhan (Adam W.) Funkhouser of Patterson Twp., PA; Thomas Kurt (Heather Moore) Fuchel, Jr. of Moon Twp., PA; Sean Walter (Melissa Bacorn) Fuchel of Patterson Heights, PA; and Michael Joseph (Kristina Garcia) Fuchel of Arizona. Thomas is also survived by his grandchildren, Matthew David Fuchel; Colin Ross Funkhouser; Giavanna Angelique Fuchel; Jace Thomas Fuchel; Maci Layne Fuchel; Aubrey Nikole Blackburn; and Rylan Kenneth Blackburn. He was also blessed with his first great-grandchild, Romeo Brian Alleman. He is also survived by his sister, Erna G. (David N.) Fuchel Fenchel of Harleysville, PA along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his grandparents, Kurt and Erna Hoffmann Fuchel and Thomas and Minnie Villard Gilkey.

Thomas graduated from Beaver Falls Area High School in 1970, Heidelberg University in Tiffin, OH, with a Bachelor of Music degree in 1974, and the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1990. His vocal gifts took him around the world, performing with various groups. He worked for Babcock & Wilcox in White Plains, New York, followed by a long career as an attorney serving Beaver and Allegheny Counties. He also appeared in the Kecksburg movie and enjoyed a thriving theater career, appearing in a multitude of classic productions. He was a great attorney, the perfect Daddy Warbucks and loved a good cigar.

Family and friends are invited to honor Thomas’s memory at Campbell’s Chippewa Funeral Home, Inc., 2618 Darlington Road, Beaver Falls, PA 15010 (Randy R. Wheeler, supervisor, 724-843-2500) on Monday, October 26, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Services, officiated by Pastor Dean R. Smith, will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at 1:45 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. A burial will follow at Beaver Falls Cemetery and Mausoleum.
