Viola Ruth Duncan, age 85 of Beaver Falls, Pa, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver, Pa.
Born April 19, 1934 in Daugherty Township, Pa to the late Emmett & Bertha (Steiner) Partington. She was a member of New Galilee Presbyterian Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of New Galilee Fire Department. She spent many years as a crossing guard and also worked for Walmart and Ames as a cashier. When her children were in high school, she was a bandbooster and her favorite hobby was to crochet.
She is survived by five sons, Ronald Charles Duncan of Columbiana, Oh, Richard Robert Duncan of NC, Howard "Butch" Jesse Duncan of Darlington, Jack Edward Duncan of New Galilee and Harry Jeffrey Duncan of Rochester; two daughters, Ruth Ann Malone of Darlington and Kandy Lynn Mueller of Wampum; 17 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; sisters, Betty Langnecker of Virginia Beach, Rose Murray of Beaver Falls and Mary Challis of Ellwood City.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles O. Duncan; grandson, Justin Malone; daughter in law, Debbie Duncan; brother, William Partington; sisters, Evelyn Barkey and Doris Curry.
Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, January 24, 2020 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM, at Campbell's Chippewa Funeral Home, 2618 Darlington Road, Beaver Falls, Pa 15010. Additional visitation will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, January 25 at 9 AM until the time of service at 10 AM with C.F. Hoffman officiating.
